Piccolina Gelato e Altra Roba occupies a space that was formerly home to a few small businesses and offices. Today, it stands awash in artful blush and marble tones. The petite space can accommodate any passerby looking for something sweet. Featuring more than a dozen flavors to choose from, the homemade gelatos are all made from natural ingredients.
Looking through the gelato flavors at Piccolina Gelato e Altra Roba, you will find chocolate, lemon, stracciatella, passionfruit, mango and peach. There are also more specialized flavors that might be worth a try. It’ll be interesting to see what the King West gelato restaurant may add to their inventory in the months to come. In the meantime, you can get a single-flavor small cone for around $5 or a three-flavor large cone for $8. Choose what best appeals to your sensibilities and garnish as you please.
They even have some vegan flavors, including a dark chocolate, that’s sure to win many fans among King West’s health-conscious crowd. Also, there’s gluten-free cones available for an extra $1.
If you’re not in the mood for a cone at Piccolina Gelato e Altra Roba, they’ve got a delicious soft serve that comes with a mix of flavours and drizzles. Choose a warm brioche with some gelato to get a nice contrast of textures going. Many of the products at this King West gelato joint are homemade in the kitchen at Nodo, including the brioche and whipped cream. Though there’s a bit of competition in the Toronto gelato shop market, this King West location has already received a lot of attention since its opening this summer.
